Lo sé, un post sobre decoración no es habitual en Eight Days a Week, pero todo tiene sus razones.

He estado trabajando desde casa últimamente. Todo por un proyecto súper ilusionante que verá la luz muy, muy pronto... (os contaré más sobre esto cuando llegue el momento). El tema es que, al necesitar tener el estudio completamente organizado, me ha dado un poco por el tema de la decoración. Buscando ideas, he encontrado estas fotos que no he podido evitar compartir con vosotros.

I know, a post about deco is not usual on Eight Days a Week, but everything has its reason.

I have been working a lot from home lately. Everything because of an exciting project that is going to be launched really, really soon... (I will tell you more about it as soon as the date comes). The thing is that, as I need to have all my stuff in place, I have become kind of obsessed with office decoration and organization. Looking for ideas, I have found so inspiring pics that I can not avoid sharing with you.

Making the Effort

Making the effort every day has been on my mind lately. It's fall, the typical time for dressing up. Fashion Month opens the floodgates to trendy people. And while, life may have other things in store for you: unusually warm October, working at home, not working at all... etc, making an effort still matters. Yesterday I was just talking about how making an effort doesn't have to be too much work. It's just a matter of planning things a little. Hello September!

De vuelta tras un parón veraniego para un merecido descanso, después de un año de lo más intenso. Vuelta a la rutina bloguera que, por suerte, no significa el final del verano ni del buen tiempo.

Aunque septiembre ya esté aquí, aún quedan muchos días de playa por delante. Incluso, hay quien está ahora comenzando sus vacaciones. Para todas vosotras, este post.

Back after a summer break. I really needed a little rest to recover for an extremely busy year. Luckily, this return to the bloguer routine doesn`t mean that summer and good weather are comming to an end.

Esta semana me ha cautivado el editorial del número de mayo de VOGUE Rusia. Creo que por la luz, por las sensaciones que transmite.

I love fashion editorials. I love them so much that, since some months ago, I have begun collecting VOGUE issues from the different countries where it is published. And I compare them. I compare them because it is amazing the difference among perspectives, visual narrative...

This week I have gotten captivated by the fashion editorial in VOGUE Russia May issue. Maybe because of the lightning, the sensations it transmits.

Juan Vidal es el diseñador revelación del año. El alicantino ha resultado ganador de la segunda edición en España del certamen Who's on Next, organizado por Vogue en colaboración con Inditex para premiar el talento diseñadores emergentes.

Juan Vidal is 2013 Best New Designer. The Spanish designer has been the winner in Who's on Next second edition in Spain, contest organized by Vogue Spain in collaboration with Inditex in order to reward the talent of emerging designers. 

Distintos premios, como el MODAFAD o el Premio Tendencias Moda al Mejor Diseñador del año con los que fue galardonado en 2005 y 2010, respectivamente, así como brillantes colecciones -no os perdáis sus creaciones para el próximo otoño/invierno, presentadas en Moscú - venían ya avalando la genialidad creativa de Juan Vidal.

Previous awards, as MODAFAD or Fashion Trends Award to Best Designer of the year, obtained, respectively, in 2005 and 2010, as well as brilliant collections - don't miss his designs for next season which were showcased in Moscow - have been already proving Juan Vidal's creative genius over the last years.

Coachella 2013: Street Style

Ya ha empezado. El Festival Coachella 2013 ha dado su pistoletazo de salida el pasado fin de semana con más de 70 grupos y cantantes, repartidos entre seis escenarios diferentes. De momento, tres son los conciertos que coinciden en todos los top ten de este primer fin de semana: Blur, Phoenix, y The Postal Service. La 14ª edición del festival californiano, retransmitido por su canal oficial de Youtube, continuará el próximo fin de semana, entre los días 19 y 22 de abril.

It has already started. The starting gun went off last weekend for Coachella 2013 with more than 70 groups and singers, distributed among six different stages. By the moment, three are the concerts that appear in every top ten of the first weekend of Coachella: Blur, Phoenix and The Postal Services. The 14th Edition of the Californian festival, broadcasted through its Youtube official channel, will continue next weekend, from the 19th to the 22nd of April.

España es Moda. Las muestras de ello son múltiples: desde grandes referentes de la moda internacional como Zara o el resto de las tiendas pertenecientes al Grupo Inditex, pasando por Mango, Pretty Ballerinas o Loewe, entre otras muchas, hasta llegar a nuestras it girls nacionales, que nada tienen que envidiar a las rusas que tanto están dando de qué hablar últimamente.  Un claro ejemplo lo encontramos en Bárbara Martelo, cuyo estilo merece ser destacado por encima del resto de it girls, tanto nacionales como internacionales.

Spain is fashion. There are multiple evidences of that fact: from international fashion industry benchmarks like Zara or the rest of stores of the Inditex Group, through Mango, Pretty Ballerinas or Loewe, among many more, to the Spanish it girls, who have nothing to envy to the Russian ones that have become a trending topic in the last days. We found a clear example of the above mentioned in Barbara Martelo, whose style deserves to be highlighted over the rest of it girls, either the Spanish ones or the international ones.
