Se acaba el año. Una vez más, ya está aquí el 31 de diciembre con sus brindis, cenas, uvas (en España, claro), el "Feliz Año" en la boca de todo el mundo y, como no, con sus fiestas. Independientemente del tipo de evento al que se asista, más o menos formal o más o menos organizado, hay una opción que es garantía de éxito por su versatilidad, elegancia y combinación de glamour con sencillez: el Little Black Dress o le Petite Robe Noire.

The year is ending. Estas Navidades, Kate Bosworth nos felicita las Fiestas en nombre de Topshop cantando "Winter Wonderland", en la que es la primera campaña navideña llevada a cabo por la cadena británica.

This year, Kate Bosworth wishes all of us a Merry Chirstmas on behalf of Topshop singing Winter Wonderland, in the first Christmas campaign carried out by the British firm.

VOGUE's Special Guest: Mario Testino

En su número del mes de diciembre, la revista VOGUE homenajea a uno de los fotógrafos más admirados y solicitados de todos los tiempos: Mario Testino.

VOGUE Spain pays homage, in its December issue, to one of the most admired and popular photographers of all times: Mario Testino.

En un número de más de 400 páginas, que es casi un ejemplar de coleccionista, Mario Testino, como editor invitado de la revista, rinde un tributo a España mediante un catálogo impresionante de fotografías mezcladas con textos de Dalí, Hemingway o Mariano José de Larra. Famosos tan dispares como Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Jose Mari Manzanares, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr o, incluso, la baronesa Thyssen posan ante el objetivo de Testino. Sin embargo, el fotógrafo hace protagonista absluta de su colaboración con VOGUE a su musa, Kate Moss, quien aparece en la que puede ser una de las mejores portadas de la historia de VOGUE España.

In an edition of more than 400 pages, which is almost a copy for coleccionists, Mario Testino, as guest editor, pays tribute to Spain through a catalog of photographs mixed up with texts of Dali, Hemingway or Mariano Jose de Larra. Different celebrities as Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Jose Mari Manzanares, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr or, even, the Thyssen baroness pose before Testino's camera . However, the photographer makes his muse, Kate Moss, who appears in a cover that can be one of the bests in VOGUE Spain's history, the aboslute protagonist of his colaboration with VOGUE.

What about hats?

He de reconocer que me encantan. Son capaces de dar un toque único y diferente al más simple de los estilismos. Aún así, no en todas las ciudades su uso es habitual, aunque parece que, por suerte, eso es algo que está cambiando poco a poco.

I have to admit that I love them. They are able to provide an unique and different touch to the simplest outfit. However, wearing them is not usual in all cities, although that is something that, affortunately,  seems to be changing little by little.

Al igual que con los abrigos de leopardo, hay que saber llevarlo y, llevarlo bien, requiere personalidad y seguridad. Aunque pueden acompañar bien a cualquier outfit, cuanto más ancha sea el ala y mas informal el resto del look, más cool será el contraste que se puede conseguir. Por su parte, los gorros de punto acompañan mejor a los outfits más casual.

As well as it happens with leopard print coats, it's necessary to know how to wear it and, to wear it well, requires personality and self-confidence. Although they can look well with any kind of outfit, the more wide-brimmed the hat and the less formal the rest of the look, the coolest the contrast that can be achieved. By its side, knit hats go better with more casual outfits.

An artist named Roberto Diz

Hace unos días que he tenido que estrenar el calendario del año que viene para empezar a marcar algunas fechas de la temporada de bodas 2013. Desde ese momento, ya empezando a dar vueltas al "qué-me-pongo" de forma inevitable e inmediata, hay algo que no he podido sacar de mi cabeza: los diseños de Roberto Diz.

Some days ago, I had to use for the first time the New Year's calendar to start marking some dates of the wedding season 2013. Since that moment, thinking immediately and inevitably about what to wear, there is something that I couldn't take out of my mind: Roberto Diz's designs.

Winter 2012/2013: The Coat

Para llevarlo hace falta coraje. Para llevarlo bien, estilo, mucho estilo. El abrigo de leopardo es uno de los musts de este invierno. It girls, como Alexa Chung o Gala Gónzalez, hace un par de temporadas que lo lucen, pero parece que, esta vez, ha venido para quedarse, por lo menos durante este invierno.

To wear it, courage is needed. To wear it well, to be stylish, really stylish. The leopard print coat is a must this winter. It girls, like Alexa Chung or Gala González, began to wear it some seasons ago, but this time it seems that it has come to stay, at least during this winter.
